The last few years have changed the trade landscape, especially between China (the largest market) and the rest of the world.

The main reason is of course COVID 19 and the way each state has dealt with this health issue.

China has decided on a sanitary policy aiming at "zero cases". This may have created production problems, temporary closure of factories, but it has had the effect of deciding many Western buyers to leave China and return home, tired of being confined, the problems caused to their children's schooling, and the constant disruption of family life. This is really something we have seen, as we are in contact with a lot of expatriates.

 

 

The big international groups have buyers, and as China represents the biggest market by far, it is there that we have to buy. But buying from a distance doesn't work (even for small quantities, trivial things, we see for example the failures of Asian merchant sites, the orders not respected, the rate of dissatisfied and complaints...). You have to be on the spot, know the rules of the game.

 

Our job, historically at Lian Conect Company, is to buy as well as possible on behalf of a customer, whoever he may be, and for whatever the goods may be (as long as it is legal and we know how to do it).

We have many customers in different professional fields, who are mostly small and medium-sized companies, since until now, very large entities had their own buyer on site (in the form of an employee, member of the group).

But for a few months now, large commercial companies have lost this indispensable asset and absolutely wish to quickly re-establish a human contact at the heart of the factories.

We have therefore decided to be open to the possibility of working for large groups as a permanent buyer.

It is a change for the big company which does not have any more a salaried collaborator on the spot, but a seasoned provider, French, but melted in the Chinese commercial culture in the last 20 years, surrounded by Chinese collaborators.
